VXI Receives Prestigious Philippine Red Cross Award

September 18, 2017 08:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time. Manila, Philippines — VXI Global Solutions, LLC. was awarded with the 2017 Blood Services Platinum Award by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for its continuing support of voluntary blood donation in the Philippines.

The award was received by VXI Philippines Senior Company Physician, Dr. Arnette De Guzman, on July 20 during a ceremony at the Philippine Red Cross Multipurpose Hall and Training Center in Mandaluyong City that drew the participation of important figures such as PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon, and Department of Health Secretary Dr. Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial.

True to the Passion for people operating ethos, VXI employees went above and beyond during the blood drive that took place from March until April across the company’s Metro Manila and Davao delivery centers.  Employees at VXI Philippines are aware of the importance of donating blood to help save lives, and have been contributing to this cause since 2006, donating a total of 727 units since its first blood drive.

Executive Vice President and VXI Philippines Country Manager Jared Morrison stated that “VXI is humbled by this recognition. Helping save people’s lives by donating blood is a selfless act, and we promise to stay committed to this very important life-saving mission. Everyone here at VXI PH has embraced our employee value proposition Passion for People, and that means extending whatever help we can offer to anybody and everybody, not just our employees.”

The annual blood drive is one of the many CSR programs that VXI is engaged with in the Philippines.  VXI also regionally supports My Dream in a Shoebox, a campaign which aims to help underprivileged kids reach for a brighter future by distributing shoeboxes filled with school supplies; the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, a surgical charity organization that provides medical treatment to the poor; and the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation in building housing projects in Eastern Samar to provide the victims of Typhoon Yolanda new homes.
